I have always had trouble sleeping. Ever since I was a little girl, I would dread those sleepovers with friends because I was always the last one to fall asleep, if I ever did. There were many times where I would leave my friend’s house in the middle of the night and walk home at 1am.
Fast forward 20 years. I am finally feeling like I am getting a restful night’s sleep. I apply a few drops each of Lavender oil to the bottoms of my feet at bedtime. Lavender is known for it’s calming effects. I use lavender all the time.
The other success story I have with lavender is to treat acne! Who would have thought?! I had some acne on my chin for months. I couldn’t get rid of it. Even prescription acne medicine wasn’t doing the trick. For someone with clear skin most of my life, this was driving me crazy.
I diluted 10 drops of lavender oil in 1-2oz of water. I put this in a spray bottle and then I sprayed myself at night before bedtime and then again in the morning.
I was amazed at the results! In a few days, this acne I had for months went away in a few days!
If anyone has either of these conditions: insomnia or acne, go buy lavender now!

Many more people these days are taking a holistic approach to medicine. This is not anything new. There are many times throughout history when people started using and realizing the effects and benefits of essential oils.
Some of the first people were the Egyptians. They used aromatic oils for medicinal uses, beauty treatments, in religious ceremonies and in preparing food. Some of these oils like Frankincense were so valuable that is was exchanged for gold along trade routes!
The Greeks borrowed from the Egyptians and used essential oils in aromatherapy and therapeutic massage. I like the way the Greeks did things! Love me a massage! Then it was the Romans and then the Chinese and so forth throughout history.
In 1937 the powerful healing properties of oils was rediscovered by a french chemist, Rene -Maurice Gattefosse. He healed a badly burnt burn with Lavender. He also used essential oils to successfully treat WWII soldiers!
The modern use of essential oils continues to grow as more researchers validate the benefits of essential oil use!
I am here to testify that these really do work! I have tried and used them and have seen the own benefits in my health in just a short time. If I gave a sample to someone and I did not hear back from them, I know it is because they are not using and trying out the essential oils. It is probably still tucked away in their medicine cabinet.
