When you are out in the sun and get the dreaded burn, reach for lavender to help that burn, but remember to use Fractionated coconut oil with it to keep your skin moisturized. One easy way to bring these together is to take the last bit of your fractionated coconut oil and add several drops of lavender to it. Apply and help that sunburn.

I will be doing a series of posts of the top 10 essential oils every family should have in their home.
Calms and relieves stress
Cuts and Wounds
Lavender is all things calming. Diffuse in a room for anxiety. Apply topically to soothe irritated skin and lips. Massage on back or bottom of feet to help sleep better. Apply topically for bee stings.
I apply lavender every night for sleeping. Since it can also be used for cuts and wounds, one time during the day I applied a drop or two to a cut I had. Ten minutes later I felt extremely sleepy! I guess it really is working for my restless nights!

Here is a run-down of the top essential oils I am using right now.
#1: Lavender: I use a few drops each night to help me relax and get a better rest. I have always had trouble falling asleep and lavender is well-know for it’s calming effects. I put a drop or two on each big toe. The captain toe correlates with the brain, according to the chart below.
#2: Clary Sage: This has been a lifesaver for me during my time of the month. I also use it everyday. I rub a drop or two around my ankles which correlates with the uterus and ovaries. I am suffering from a little thing called infertility now.
#3: Elevation Blend: I rub a drop behind my ear. Whenever I turn my head I can smell it. Elevation is supposed to be an uplifting blend to enhance your mood. With everyday difficulties and challenges it is nice to have this.
#4: Breath Respiratory Blend: This is great for congestion. I seem to be congested a lot. A whiff or two of this stuff and my nose clears right up!
#5: On Guard Protective Blend: I can’t say enough about this blend. It is so good! From gingivitis to bladder infections to killing MRSA, this is a must have in every household!
I also drink the Trim Shake almost daily. It is so tasty and keeps me satisfied for hours!

I have always had trouble sleeping. Ever since I was a little girl, I would dread those sleepovers with friends because I was always the last one to fall asleep, if I ever did. There were many times where I would leave my friend’s house in the middle of the night and walk home at 1am.
Fast forward 20 years. I am finally feeling like I am getting a restful night’s sleep. I apply a few drops each of Lavender oil to the bottoms of my feet at bedtime. Lavender is known for it’s calming effects. I use lavender all the time.
The other success story I have with lavender is to treat acne! Who would have thought?! I had some acne on my chin for months. I couldn’t get rid of it. Even prescription acne medicine wasn’t doing the trick. For someone with clear skin most of my life, this was driving me crazy.
I diluted 10 drops of lavender oil in 1-2oz of water. I put this in a spray bottle and then I sprayed myself at night before bedtime and then again in the morning.
I was amazed at the results! In a few days, this acne I had for months went away in a few days!
If anyone has either of these conditions: insomnia or acne, go buy lavender now!
