My husband believes alternative healing or anything holistic is kind of quacky. Boo to him. Modern medicine is awesome. But, wouldn’t it make sense there were other forms of natural ways to be healed before that was discovered? It makes sense to me.
So whenever I try to get him to use essential oils, he gives me the look. The look with one eyebrow raised with his lips turned upward in a smirk. I have found a way to let me use oils on him. Give him a foot rub. He won’t say no to that.
The hubby has had the sniffles for the past week. A constant runny nose where he was blowing it every 10 minutes. He has had trouble sleeping at night because he is so congested. I got him to let me rub On Guard on his feet before he went to bed.
Wouldn’t you know it — that a few minutes later he was breathing easier and fell asleep a lot quicker than the night before. I asked him how he felt today and he said better. I asked him if he thinks it was the On Guard. His response was something like this: “When I have a cold I feel it come on the first day, it is really bad the next day and the third day it is on its way out. ” He was trying to convince me that he has only had the sniffles for 3 days. Not so. It has been at least five.
I think On Guard helped him. Others (like my hubby) may say it didn’t because he had the cold for so long anyway.
On Guard is named the Protective Blend for a reason. The oils in this blend have been studied for their strong abilities to kill harmful bacterial, mold and viruses. (Cold virus, maybe?) The oils in this blend may help it be effective for dealing with various problems related to the immune system.
Studies involving On Guard have shown to be helpful fighting MRSA – a form a staph which currently is drug resistant. Studies have also shown it helpful in protecting against the Influenza! http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21078173
