Grapefruit essential oil can be used topically, internally and aromatically.
Common Primary Uses: Addictions (drugs), anorexia, appetite suppressant, bulimia, cellulite, dry throat, edema, gallbladder stones, hangovers, lymphatic decongestant, mental stress, miscarriage (after), obesity, overeating, performance stress, PMS, Slimming/Toning, stress, withdrawal.
French Medicinal Uses: Cellulite, digestion, dyspepsia, lymphatic decongestant, water retention.
Other Possible Uses: Grapefruit oil may help with cancer, depression, eating disorders, fatigue, jet lag, liver disorders igraine headaches, premenstrual tension, stress and sympathetic nervous system stimulation. Apply to reflex points and/or directly on area of concern, diffuse, Because grapefruit oil has many of the same uses as other citrus oils, it can be used in their place when immediate exposure to the sun is unavoidable. This is because grapefruit oil does not cause as much photosensitivity as the other citrus oils.
Oral Use As A Dietary Supplement: Generally reorganized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA. Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in 4 oz. of beverage. Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over.
